It is checked before the file is opened. It is a link-guessing deterrent, not a general-purpose signature scheme. Status codes ------------ 200 object served 206 partial content 403 signature missing, tampered, or applied to another path 410 signature valid, expiry passed 404 signature valid and current, but no such object This file is public and intentionally unsigned. It is the canonical description of what this endpoint serves; anything not listed above is not offered here. Contact for capacity is handled out of band.
